A shuddery jaunt

The lights of the bus turned on for the last time of the night and the conductor yelled:"Nodri last stop Karwar". It was the very last bus to Karwar late night. My watch showed 12:30am. I had to reach Karwar railway station. No buses to go there and rikshaws demanding 200 bucks! I thought of walking alone. "Yahaan se station kitna dur hai bhaiyya?", I asked a stranger."Dur hai, bahut bahut dur hai". "Chalke jha saktha hu kya?"."Haan par ded ghanta lagega!"
Very affordable for me, I thought to myself.

I began to walk and the road never ceased to end. Atleast the street lights were there, if not any people! And a sharp clinking noise poked into my ears. A man on a cycle with thick glasses on his face puzzled me,"Where do you want to go in this dead of the night?"
"Well uncle, I want to reach the station. Is this the right path?"
"Yes it is, but not the right time.Anyways hop in and I'll drop you half the way, uptill my house"
I jumped back on cycle.
"Well I must apprecitate your bravery at this age young man, no one even dares to even lurk around on this route, where are you from?"
"I'm from Bangalore."
"Kannadiga hey? Well I must warn you, once I leave you on my cycle, be very careful. There are no lights ahead and you have
pass through a cemetery and a mountain. Dont freak out, even if something happens"
A chill ran down my spine. I swallowed hard.
"But dont worry, there a temple on your way. Just pray to the goddess and she'll take care of you."
He drove me few miles and abondoned me for the rest.
"Good luck... and meet me next time you come to Karwar, alive!", he affrighted as his voice faded away in the dark.

So it was me and my bagpack left stranded on the deserted street. Houses with no lights and spooky porchs on the left and a monstrous mountain to my right. I began rambling step by step. The sound of the leaves rustling to me in the mid-night breeze.Full moon hiding behind the dark clouds. Dogs barking from far off places. Grey smoke from the cemetery looming directly, blocking the road. Strange voices started to rise from all directions. My heart beats paced faster and faster. Sweat gushing from my forehead. And all of a sudden a horn blow right behind my back. Holy crap! It was a scooty and the urbanite, sent by the god himself, offered me a drop till the station.

And there it was, my heaven from hell 'Welcome To Konkan Railways, Karwar Station.Have A Happy and Peaceful Journey'.

My First Puff

It was a pure supple reefer of luxury length, which Manju had griped in his hands. He said, "Lo macha, try it once". OMG!! It was a cigarette, showing its true color of white and brown. Waiting to be lit by it's true heir, and to be flared and reduce to ash. My other friend fired it up and puffed in a few packets of air from it. It was finally passed on to me for pressing on.

"I don't know to smoke." I said. "K dude, here's how its done: You gently draw in air from this end and leave it out."

I placed the stick between my lips and sipped in air from it... and slowly puffed it out. It was like someone had gagged me for a few moments with a plastic bag. And then this frantics. My mind started to take-off. It was a mad whirl of pleasure. I passed it on and sat to see how the stars gyrated above my head. Manju smoked there in exhilaration and sent the Armageddon flames down.

And now it was time to get me down the stairs. I stood up, just to fumble back. Both my pals held my hands and convoyed me to the exit, giggling to themselves. "I hate you, b******",I screamed. Everthing looked doubled.Noises of piles of glass were stepped on ,and all because of my uncontrolled, fuddled movements. The kick had taken its toll. The rail caught my attention and I grappled onto it desperately and got to my dorm to decline to the bed.

A Wonderful Experience...

It was a starry and a cold night. The lights from the streets were seen blurred as we settled in a volvo bus. The cool air from the air-condition hovered profoundly by our innocent faces. She sat next to me resting on my shoulders. Her gratifying fragrance made my senses to be complete solace. I rested back in comfort.

At one juncture of our errand I gestured to her desperately. Being a little confused she said,"I don't know". I managed to take a chance and took my face close to hers. Oblivious of what to do next, I drew closer. I could feel her breath blending with mine. My lips gently brushed with her lower lip only to taste it slightly. I hesitated and backed-off a few millimeters, teasing her. I went for more only to snug my lips together with hers. We stayed kissing full in mouth. More pressure.More tongue. That was ecstasy at its high. Those were a few precious moments I spent with her.

"O man! That was tiring.",I said rubbing our noses together and retiring back. She kept looking keenly into my eyes, with a wonder-struck smile. I asked,"First time kya?". "Haan, obviously!", she said.
